Disneyland Resorts

Disneyland Paris is one of the premier theme parks of Europe. Over the years, it has become one of the most happening spots, for kids as well as adults, in all of Europe. This recreational resort is located in the eastern suburbs of Paris, in the new city called Marne-la-Vallee. It is only a 32 kilometer drive from the center of Paris.

Disneyland Paris has two theme parks, retail, entertainment and dining districts, and seven Disneyland inns. In fact, Disneyland Paris is the only Disney lodging that has a hotel right at the entrance, offering a majestic view of the entire Disneyland theme park. Here are the four most popular Disneyland resorts out here:

Disneyland Hotel: This imperial hotel is considered as the costliest hotel of Disneyland Paris. Disneyland Hotel succeeds in extending a castle that belongs to the Victorian era with its unique features like clapboards and trim style, painted in cream and pink, octagonal Mansard roofs with dormer window. Disneyland Hotel is positioned near the entrance of the park. Mickey Mouse clock tower and wraparound porches with a gold leaf finish are some of the major enticements of this hotel.

Disney’s Hotel New York: this hotel of Disneyland Paris was designed by postmodern architect Michael Graves. The 20th century art deco design of this hotel echoes the essence and feel of New York city. The exterior looks like a stylish skyscraper. The Manhattan bistro displays an image of Manhattan’s Cotton Club. The main attraction of this hotel is the Rockefeller Plaza, influenced by Rockefeller Centre, which provides a skating rink in winter, and in summer, a fountain, featuring the map of Manhattan.

Disney’s Newport Bay Club: Disney’s Newport Bay Club has been designed in almost the same pattern as that of Disneyland Hotel. Some of the main features of this Disneyland Paris accommodation are prototypical New England architecture, with porches, white clapboard, woodwork, and marine memorabilia. Disney’s Newport Bay Club has been named under the influence of the town of Newport, Rhode isle. Placed along the shoreline of the Lake Disney, this hotel owns a small lightproperty of its own. The restaurants of Disney’s Newport Bay Club serve wonderful seafood.

Disney’s Davy Crocket Ranch: as the name suggests, this is built as a ranch and its main feature is its campground. A peaceful wooded area is spread all around this nature lover’s retreat, and it is a mere 15 minutes away from the main theme park area by car. The rooms are fashioned after cabins, and the cabins are placed on different trails, known by quintessential American names such as coyote trail, bobcat trail, bigbear trail and so on. Each cabin has a regular double bed, a convertible sofa bed in the lounge area and even a couple of bunk beds. The facilities in each cabin include a TV, a cell phone, a refrigerator, an attached bathroom and even a personal kitchen. There is a village within the property and this has restaurants, boutiques, a video arcade, a jogging track, the ever-present swimming pool, bar and tennis court and several other facilities.

Disney’s Hotel Santa Fe, Disney’s Sequoia Lodge and Disney Hotel Cheyenne are the other three Disney Paris motels out here.

There are of course many more hotels, which provide a good package trip, good food and accommodation, and help in making the voyage to Disneyland, a relaxing and joyful experience.

Dakar Holiday

There are lots of ways one can holiday in Dakar. You can take a bus, a train or even a local flight. There is also the option of renting out a car in Dakar, for which you have to find out about Dakar Car Rental Services.

If you want to travel in Dakar by car, you should know that you will not be allowed to bring a car into the country, as it is prohibited by law. You can however, rent cars in the area from reputed sources. Cars that are older than five years cannot be brought into the country.

It is said that the only way you can bring your own car into Dakar is if you are staying in Senegal for a short duration, and you can convince the authorities that you will take your car back when you leave. But no one really knows how true this is, so you cannot count on it. It will be incomparably less bothersome to simply use Dakar car rental services.

You won’t be exactly needing a car to commute in the area. There are many variants of taxis that can be used to commute from one end to another such as, taxi-clando, car-charette, and taxi-brousse. Cars can be rented either directly from the international airport as you get down from your flight or from a reliable Dakar travel companies like the MBour and Saly Portudal.

One of the main ways to travel in the city, if you are not looking at Dakar Car Rental Services, is the use of sept locations. This basically means a converted station wagon that has seven seats, and will take seven people all over the property.

Alternatively, you could also hire a sept as a group, for your own use, when you are in the country. Though it’s convenient, it can be a bit expensive, especially if you are not prepared for it. If you even remotely look like a traveler, they will overcharge you. So always make sure that you agree on the rate before hand with the driver.

Outsiders do have to follow certain rules and observe some of their traditions during their stay in Dakar. They should not feel as if you are trying to impose your culture on them. If you are planning to hire a car from the airport as you get down from your flight or from a reliable car hire in dakar company make sure you are carrying your international driver’s license with you. International driver’s license can be fetched from your local DMV, for a nominal fee.

Before driving in Dakar, make sure you are aware of the traffic rules and the routes, and remember that in Dakar cars are driven on the right of the road.

A Short Introduction To The English City Of Liverpool

For a long time many cities throughout the UK have reinvigorated themselves and this is especially so with the lively metropolis of Liverpool, in the north west of England. Liverpool, once the British Empire’s second city fell into sharp decline following the Second World War. In the course of the 1980’s the unemployment rate became unbearably high and the city of Liverpool had to confront an increasing number of problems. While other cities were boosted by massive investment in inner city development the city of Liverpool stood stagnant. Fortunately, in the last few years this has drastically changed and today the city a forward looking, cosmopolitan and thrilling place to have a vacation. In the following article I take a brief look at some of the factors which make this city such an exciting vacation destination.

Liverpool appears to have brought forth an amazing number of entertainers, with countless actresses, musicians, comedians and actors being able to state that they were born there.

The most well know entertainers to come from Liverpool are the Beatles: Richard Starkey, John Lennon, George Harrison and Paul McCartney. Strangely it took Liverpool a few decades to even start to take advantage of the tourism associated with the  world famous band however today there are a variety of fantastic points of interest for example Cavern Walks, Beatles Story and Cavern Club and you can even partake in a Magical Mystery Tour.

In the year 2004 a selection of parts in the centre of the city of Liverpool became a UNESCO World Heritage site collectively they are called Liverpool Maritime Mercantile City. You will not find many World Heritage sites in citieswithin the United Kingdom so Liverpool is incredibly proud with this recognition of the historic port.

In 2008 Liverpool became the European Capital of Culture and an amazingly large list of cultural events took place through the full 12 months they had the title. These fantastic events, and accompanying press coverage, introduced the city to a great many many new visitors who might not have beforehand  considered a visit to Liverpool and ever since then tourism has remained high.

Holidays : A Cultural Look At Tunisia

Tunisia, in northeastern Africa is a beautiful country to visit: a country of spices and flowers, ancient history, friendliness, wonderful hotels, restaurants and first class airports.

The climate of Tunisia is superb and the coastline is lovely. Tunisia’s neighbors are Libya and Algeria. The Mediterranean is Tunisia’s northern, and most of its eastern border. Tunisia has been the visiting place and home of many civilizations over its long history. Today’s Tunisian culture is a colorful and fascinating mélange of the cultures of those that have gone before: the Phoenicians, Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Turks, Spanish and French.

Tunisia’s long and colorful history is preserved in the many hundreds of historical sites and museums that dot the country. The enormous National Museum of Bardo (near Tunis) was a 13th century palace and has been expanded over time so that it’s now a an amazing example of 17th and 18th century Arab architecture and interior décor. It boasts vaulted ceilings, galleries and cupolas. It also houses the finest collection of mosaics in the world! The Carthage Museum is famed for its excellent collection of Roman and Punic artifacts, including items that would have been used in everyday life. The extensive display of jewelry must not be missed. There is also an extremely distinctive display of Punic masks made of colored glass paste.

The Dar Ben Abdallah Museum of Traditional Arts and Customs, in Tunis, is housed on the bottom floor of the 18th century palace of the same name. It is the center of the old city of Tunis, the medina. This museum offers traditional Tunisian arts and exhibits traditional customs of the city of Tunis in a traditional setting. Keep in mind that most museums in Tunisia are closed on Mondays. Tunisia is known for its festivals. You may plan your holiday around a Tunisian festival during most times of the year. Every small village sets aside time for at least one festival. Visitors are welcome. If you are fascinated by the Sahara desert, the Saharian Festival is for you. You will find it in Douz, the “gateway to the Sahara.” The Saharian Festival occurs in the second week of November. All classical music fans would love to see the International Music Festival at the El Jem Coliseum from mid-July through mid-August. It features world renowned arts and orchestras. All performances take place on soft Tunisian evenings under the starts in a Roman Coliseum!

The most important component of Tunisian family cuisine is its breads! Country breads, found in smaller villages, are usually unleavened and baked in domed, clay ovens called tabounas. Bread is a staple at every Tunisian meal and everyplace in Tunisia has its own special breads. The meat eaten most often in Tunisian homes is lamb. Seafood is abundant, due to Tunisia’s long Mediterranean coastline and Tunisia’s olive oil and produce is delicious. Tunisians use all sorts of herbs and spices for cooking, including cumin, coriander, parsley, dried peppers, and garlic. They prefer their food hot and spicy, but in deference to tourists’ tastes, usually serve their favorite spicy condiment, harissa, as a side dish.

Tunisia is a fascinating place and an excellent holiday destination.

Natural Wonders And Attractions Of Lanzarote

Whilst Lanzarote has traditionally been linked with package holidays a growing number of independent travellers are now visiting the island.  Lured by cheaper flights, great weather and some seriously spectacular scenery, as Lanzarote is home to an abundance of wonderful natural attractions many of which were forged during the massive volcanic eruptions that rocked the island during the 1730´s.

Tourists have been flocking to the fourth largest of the Canary Islands ever since the package holiday industry first took off in the 1970´s.  And Lanzarote continues to attract millions of visitors today.  Many of whom like nothing more than basking in the sun, which shines all year round here.  However there’s so much to see that most tourists manage to leave  their Lanzarote villas and apartments for at least a days sightseeing.

Lanzarote offers visitors plenty to do and see as well as year round sunshine – which has helped to establish it as the third most popular of the Canary Islands after Tenerife and Gran Canaria.  Boasting a whole host of attractions such as the natural wonders of the Timanfaya Volcano Park, the green lagoon at El Golfo and the Valley of 1000 Palms.  As well as the creations of a local artist called Cesar Manrique, which include the Mirador del Rio, Cactus Garden and the Jameos del Agua.  Along with close to a hundred great beaches and picturesque pueblos such as Yaiza and Haria.

Activities, attractions or a mix of both, whichever you choose make sure to include:

Parque Tropical; Parque Tropical is located in the north of the island at the base of Mount Corona, an extinct volcano and the highest point of the island, close to the Famara Cliffs. The views here are simply spectacular. The park has an outstanding variety of birds totalling close to 300 species, including Ostriches, Flamingos, Cranes and Hornbills to name but a few. or perhaps The Timanfaya Volcano Park. This gives visitors the opportunity to view natures work up close.  With skilled drivers steering coaches through the weird and wonderful terrain seven days a week.  Thankfully all of the volcanoes here are now dormant. However the whole region is still a real seismic hot spot – with temperatures below the earth’s surface in the centre of the Timanfaya Volcano Park still reaching up to 400 degrees Celsius.

If you don’t fancy any of those perhaps The Cesar Manrique Foundation; It is difficult to put into words the feelings that walking around Cesar Manriques former home brings, but it is easy to get a sense of the simplicity and blend of nature and architecture that were the foundations of Manriques works. The way that he transformed the volcanic bubbles into rooms exemplifies this and it is surprising to see a tree as the central focal point of Manriques symbiosis with nature.  If you pay a visit to fire mountain around fifteen minutes further to the north lies Lanzarote´s Green Lagoon, which is situated just outside a small village called El Golfo.  The Green Lagoon has starred in a number of major motion pictures over the years – most famously One Million Years BC.  As this was the spot where Raquel Welch emerged from the sea in her animal skin bikini.

If your heading for the north of the island take the time to explore the majestic Valley of 1000 Palms.  An oasis of Canarian palms created by villagers in Haria.  Who have been planting a palm to mark the birth of every baby locally for centuries.

Additional information on Lanzarote tours and attractions is available on the Lanzarote1.com website.

Tips For A Safe Cruise

Have your dream vacation become anything but dangerous. Take safety steps against burglary whether you’re taking some time off, cruising with the family, or on a honeymoon.

It will take a great amount of time before people responsible for theft aboard cruise ships will answer to their victims. Cruise ships cannot answer to any stolen items because passengers sign waivers before sailing the ship. Second, cruise ships are basically registered at different countries while passengers are of various countries. Different laws followed by these cruise ships are also observed depending on where they are sailing. Having said these, the subject matter of theft is under shadowy waters. Lastly, it is impractical to track down the stolen valuables once all passengers have left the ship. Finding them will only be based on guesses.

Therefore, have an active mind. Be safe and follow these tips to avoid thefts.
Maintain orderly records. Before sailing for the cruise create a list of all valuables you’ll be bringing with you and keep it somewhere secure. This includes credit card and bank account numbers. Contact numbers of bank, insurance, and other financial institutions should come in handy as well just in case an emergency occurs. Don’t bring with you things not needed for the cruise. Tracking the valuables you bring with you isn’t complicated at all when you don’t bring a lot in travel bag.

Keep your travel bag under your bed against a courageous thief. Locks in cruise ships don’t get changed a lot of times compared to doors in hotel rooms thereby not making your room that secure. Safes are found in cruise ships so use them in keeping your valuables. Pickpocketing is easy to veteran thieves so don’t think about bringing wallets. Try to buy under-the-clothing money belts that keeps your cash intact and keep you from forgetting your wallets on the table. Never carry valuable things or large amounts of money while walking around the cruise ship.

Going for trips to new places may be frightening but when you take these precautions you are watchful of any theft from happening. Be vigilant when going somewhere new for a vacation to keep you secure and safe because a cruise ship is like a huge town floating on water with people of various backgrounds. Thus, you will get an amusing vacation!

Focusing On A Destination

If you’d like to find all your vacation fun in one location, then aiming for one destination and doing all there is to do there can simplify things. The next step would be finding a resort destination.

Depending on your interests or those of your family, that destination can be as simple as a campground in a national park or filled with luxury at a resort while the children go to computer camp.

A trip to the city, for example Las Vegas or San Diego, can be fairly typical. There you have a wide range of activities to enjoy without a lot of additional travel. But what if you just want to stay in one place when you get there? That’s not too far fetched.

For the more outdoorsy type, a state or national park may just be the place for you. They have the option of camping, other housing and sightseeing But along with hiking, some larger parks have associated services allowing you to participate in things like horseback riding, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, kayaking or canoeing, tours, or educational programs.

If you enjoy many of those things, but don’t want to have to arrange them all yourself, a resort featuring outdoor activities might be more to your liking. A simple visit to the concierge would allow you to engage in the activities you enjoy, while enjoying the comforts that their amenities provide, such as a heated pool and even perhaps a children’s program.

Maybe you want something more relaxing?. The wide range of resort packages available can be the answer to just about any need. Anything from a nudist resort to a Disney resort for you and your family and all in between can be selected.

If golf is what floats your boat, pick a golf resort. Sand and surf? There are resorts just for that as well. Love nature and the outdoors? One is just around the corner. A skier or mountaineer? No problem depending on the season.

Staying at an exclusive private island or at a villa or a castle are among the alternatives. These options offer different pleasures, such as a quiet coastal adventure in the islands, or luxury living at the vistas, or a peek of the medieval ages in the castles.

If you just want to pamper yourself and relax, a spa resort may just help you unwind before going back to the “real” world”. They also offer healthy cuisines, fitness and wellness classes and other forms of activities to help you rejuvenate your body and mind.

Wouldn’t it be nice when planning your vacation, instead of thinking about the hassle of the many trips you need to take to do what you want, you just go to one destination and everything is already taken cared of? So you know the value of picking the right destination or resort for your getaway. The rest should be a piece of cake once you figure out what you want to do.

Some people love cruising, others prefer flying off to remote islands. Cruising down the highway by car, or passing through the countryside by rail is preferable for others. The mode of travel is not what typically makes for the most memorable vacations. Its about the activities and time spent enjoying people in your company When recounting the best vacations they have ever had, most people will relay stories about unique experiences or amazing events. Many stories revolve around accomplishments or unbelievable encounters.

The thing is to take the item from your “bucket list” and plan your vacation to make it happen.

An item on your list may be to venture through the depths of the ocean to view beautiful thriving aquatic life. There are numerous ways to make exploring the ocean possible. Taking a cruise to the Caribbean is one way. A number of cruises plan snorkeling excursions throughout the trip. With lodging and food taken care of in most trips, tourists can direct their funds toward offered activities. Aside from cruises, many all-inclusive resorts are an affordable choice. Snorkeling is often included in the packages with all-inclusive resorts.

Ocean excursions are just one example of completing a list. The diversity of vacation destinations have made it possible for people to live their dreams. Any trip is possible, even if it is one of the wonders of the world. Your list of must see and do before it’s too late could contain simple things like visiting the Smithsonian or a Civil War site.
