If you’re taking the family away for a hotel break, you’ll want to know you’re getting the best deal there is. After all, it’s your hard earned cash – so you don’t want to give it away if you can possibly help it.
You may already have a hotel in mind, or have absolutely no idea where you want to go. Either way, whether a hotel you like the look of has promotions listed or not, it’s always worth asking if there are any deals you could benefit from when you phone up and make your initial enquiry.
The obvious one is a straight percentage discount from the usual tariff. You might find that many hotels offer lower rates and money saving offers at certain times of year, so keep a lookout for these, especially during the school holidays.
Many hotels offer discounts for families with children in school holidays. They can range from a reduced rate on the cost of the room when children share with mum and dad, up to a free separate room for children – a sure fire hit both with children and parents alike. Mum and dad get time to themselves knowing the kids are safe and the kids get to be all grown up and independent without anyone there to tell them off for bouncing on the bed. But because these deals could save lots of money for families with little ones, they’re often offered on a limited basis and are snapped up very quickly. The sharing a room offer is also fairly restricted as most hotels only have a limited number of rooms sufficiently big enough to accommodate whole families together.
It’s also worth looking out for offers relating to discounts on meals in hotel restaurants. These are a great way of cutting the cost of hotel breaks for families – and specifically for children. Such offers often work in conjunction with free and discounted rooms, but they can be standalone deals, too. There may be a reduced rate in the restaurant for children – or meals may even be completely free. It’s not uncommon to find “kids eat free” promotions available to families – keep watch for this sort of thing as it could save you a lot of money. Some hotels will also offer deals on certain adult meals from time to time, which could again save your wallet.
Hotels may offer midweek deals with a free nights stay if you book two or three nights initially with them. These may, or may not, include meal deals but, either way, they’re a good opportunity to make your holiday last a little longer at no extra cost to you.
If you like sightseeing and you intend taking advantage of days out as a family during your hotel break, be sure to ask if the hotel you stay in offers discounted or free entry to local visitor attractions.
Of course, lots of hotels also offer package holidays, complete with discounts on anything and everything. The price quoted is the total for the whole family for a specified number of nights, often including meals and entry to local attractions, and this way you can be safe in the knowledge that everything’s been taking care of and there won’t be any unaccounted for extras to pay- unless you choose to splash out on that bottle of champagne on the last night of course…

We’re all counting the pennies these days – and holidays with the family can prove a bit costly if you don’t do your homework first. Always make sure you ask about any deals available in the hotel you want to stay in before you book.
Many hotels offer free – or discounted at least – kid’s rooms and meals. And family rooms can be a great way of saving a few extra pounds, but they do mean you’re at the mercy of your children for the whole of your stay and you get no privacy whatsoever. At least if they’re in the room next door you can escape for a little while and watch what you want on TV for a change!
Once you’ve decided what sort of holiday you’re looking for, you can begin narrowing your search a little. There are hotels by a sandy beach, in the countryside or slap bang in the middle of a city. If you’re not bothered where you go – and you’re really clever – you can find one that covers all these locations – giving you even greater choice for days out and sightseeing.
Before you book, make absolutely sure your hotel won’t just tolerate your children but welcome them as valued guests. Some hotels merely put up with children, which can lead to a more stressful holiday than you need. On the other hand, many have on site crèches, adventure playgrounds and holiday clubs full to the brim with fun loving over excited five year olds. It can be a bit much for some families, but for those who love the thrill and excitement of daily activities and interaction with other children, it’s the perfect way to spend a holiday. If you’d prefer a more understated approach, many hotels simply have designated children’s games room with flat screen TV, DVDs, games and comfy chairs. Kids are always up for an opportunity to get away from mum and dad for a bit so everyone wins. Either way, if you want to make sure that your entire clan have a happy holiday, try to ensure the hotel you choose offers enough level of family orientated entertainment for everyone.
The promise of a hotel pool generally puts a smile on a child’s face – as long as you remember to pack their costume. Some hotels have designated times when it’s kids only in the pool – giving them some fun, and you some peace and quiet.
If you’re travelling with a baby, but you think you might just fancy a little grown up time whilst you’re on your holiday, it’s worth asking if there’s a babysitting service offered at the hotel. And many child friendly hotels give their younger guests little extras to make their stay even more memorable, such as milk and cookies at bedtime, craft activity kits or goody bags. They’re small gestures but they show the hotel cares – and that it’s willing to go the extra distance for you and your family.
If your child has an opinion about food – and most do – it’s perhaps a good idea to check the menus before you book. You can usually view hotel menus online – or enquire over the phone when you book. And some hotels are even happy to oblige if your child has a particular favourite dish – but obviously you would have to agree this when you make your reservation.

Ask yourself this question, when was the last time you travelled by train? You may be missing out if it was a very long time ago. Most of us love travelling by rail, but it is so easy to forget about this option. Travelling by train is a leisurely way to travel but most of us just tend to go everywhere by train. It is only when we experience the train once again that we can appreciate just how nice this form of travel actually is.
We really do have a lot of choice when it comes to travelling by train in this country and most of us don’t realise how lucky we are. We can take a train journey setting off from our local station and then find ourselves on the other side of the world a few days later after taking a number of different trains along the way. Because we are now connected to mainland Europe by way of the Chunnel, we have access to most of the rest of the world by train too. It is now possible to get from London to a place as far as Singapore by train taking trips on famous railways like the Trans-Siberian Express or the Orient Express. If you have a bit of time to travel you might be surprised at just how cheap this travel option works out at; you also get to see a whole lot more than you would in a plane.
You don’t have to travel across the globe by railway to once again appreciate train travel. You should try taking a short train journey and leaving your car behind for a change. Forget about having to sit in traffic or trying to find a parking space because if you go by train you won’t have to. It really is a great way to travel and if you haven’t done it in a while you owe it to yourself to take a train journey.
City breaks Europe style are not only fashionable, but are here to stay. France hotels are top-notch when it comes to thinking about city breaks in Europe. Many are pet friendly hotels to boot. City breaks are ideal for that special weekend away.

The Isle of South Uist is found in the Outer Hebrides of Scotland. The islands which are inhabited are North Uist, South Uist, Lewis, Isle of Harris, Barra, Benbecula and Eriskay plus hundreds of islands which are uninhabited. In the article below I introduce the island of South Uist and describe why the island is such a great place in which to have a short vacation, also I suggest some South Uist hotels.
The islands of the Hebrides are unique, they feature totally unique kinds of flora and fauna in a spectacular countryside with some of the most awesome coastline in the United Kingdom. The culture of the Hebrides is a fascinating blend of Norse, Celtic and Gaelic influences, which could also be said to be unique.
On the island of South Uist, particularly in the west, you will discover the most beautiful beaches and a little inland large patches land known as machair. Machair is unique to this part of the world, it is a kind of incredibly fertile, low-lying meadow which features masses of wildflowers during the spring and summer months. Many people believe that the beaches on South Uist are the most beuatiful in the country, the United Kingdom of Great Britain, and possibly Europe.
The island of South Uist is also a superb place to play golf. Askernish Golf Course is the oldest golf course to be found in the Outer Hebrides and it was designed by the famous Old Tom Morris (the designer of St Andrews’ Old Course) and many others in the country. Sadly the golf course was damaged and it is in need of restoration before it can be once again played upon however you will find many other places to play golf across the islands.
Of course South Uist features masses of opportunities to enjoy a vast array of sports. Water sports such as surfing are immensely popular and nearly everybody can enjoy a spot of rambling. Other than golf the most popular sport remains fishing though more cyclists appear annually.
Even though the island does not have masses of galleries and museums it has sufficient to keep visitors entertained during wet weather. Museums like Kildonan Museum focus on local life and the islands association with Bonnie Prince Charlie and Flora MacDonald.
Accommodation On South Uist
Polochar Inn is located in the town of Lochboisdale in the southerly part of the island. This is a four star South Uist hotel which looks out over to the islands of Barra and Eriskay. All rooms are en-suite and they all feature Wi-Fi.
South Uist self catering accommodation is excellent for small groups and families. 10 Bun A Mhullin is a roomy self catering house/cottage on Eriskay which is joined to South Uist by a bridge.

All-inclusive sailing trip boats are sailing trip ships exactly where just about every thing is included. The expense of the drinks, food, and amusement are usually taken treatment of. The greatest benefit of all-inclusive sea trip boats is the fact that most of one’s requirements are taken care of. As previously pointed out, most all-inclusive cruises cover foods, beverages, and amusement. In case you are interested in drinking a large quantity of alcohol or feasting for the incredible onboard food, you may be in a position to perform so totally free of demand. You may also be granted exclusive admittance into movie theatres and video arcades.

Whilst several of the food and drinks are included within an all-inclusive bundle, not all are. It’s possible that you may be necessary to spend for the alcoholic beverages. There are some sailing trip boats where alcohol drinks are included inside the package, but on other people it’s not.
When it arrives to foods, your foods at a sit-down restaurant may be supplied free of charge of demand, but your snacks are typically not covered. Here’s a daily retelling of our recent vacation in Cairns Australia.
Monday
On Monday we thought we would get the adrenaline flowing by going white water rafting on the Tully River. It’s a full day trip, they collected us from our hotel at 7.00am and we didn’t get back until about 7.00pm. You are in 6 man rafts for the day. Amazingly, for Cairns the water temperature is a little chilly, but you soon forget about the water temp as you come to the first rapid. What a adrenaline ride! The Tully tries to send the raft everywhere. Don’t fear though, the guides are all wholly trained and qualified.
Tuesday
Today we thought we might have a bit of a easy day. So the tribe went off in different directions.
Wednesday
On Wednesday we finally got to go to the Cairns Great Barrier Reef. We went out with Sunlover Cruises. They have a pontoon permanently anchored at the outer reef. The snorkelling was incredible with literally thousands of fish of all shapes and sizes swimming with you. The coral was amazing and was so close you could virtually touch it.
That night we hit the Reef Casino, a good night was had by all, however no-one won anything.
Thursday
On Thursday we went to Kuranda. It is a quaint little town in the mountains behind Cairns. You can drive there, but we went on the Kuranda Skyrail. The Skyrail took about forty five minutes with 2 stops on the route. Kuranda’s a nice place but a little too kitsch for my liking. Every second shop is selling Tshirts and the ones next door are selling Aboriginal Art. A must see is the Kuranda Village Markets, with more Tshirts for sale as well as lots of local homemade arts and crafts, as well as more didgeridoo’s. We returned by the Scenic Train with more beautiful scenery.
Friday
Today was another easy day of sorts. We took the chance to spend the day at the lagoon. For a place with crocodiles and killer jellyfish, the lagoon is the ultimate creation.
Friday night we delicious and the entertainment was good. Finishing by 9.30pm, it wasn’t too tiring.
Saturday
Today we visited the reef again. Today we went with Silver Sonic on a scuba diving tour. Although we only tried snorkelling, as none of us are qualified scuba divers. The reef was even more impressive than the first day. The absence or crowds makes it a much better experience than on the big boat tours.
Sunday
Today we took a 4WD tour to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree Rainforest . This is the worlds oldest rainforest, and it’s quite spectacular. They say it’s “where the rainforest meets the reef” and thats about it. The forest runs right down to the palm fringed beaches.

Cairns.
In Cairns, Queensland, the home of two World Heritage Areas – the Great Barrier Reef, and Cape Tribulation in the Daintree Rainforest – you will see an stunning ocean that is home to lots of marine life, clear blue skies, and pristine sand that merge with lush dark green rainforest.
Expert Travel Tip:
The best area to base yourself at when visiting Cairns, is the Northern Beaches, because transfers will pick you up from your hotel, and it is comfortable and stylish with self-contained apartments that are only fifteen to thirty minutes away from the city, depending on which beach suburb you choose. Plus, it is so relaxing as a getaway destination as you wake up near the waterfront and hear the waves gently roll in.
Cape Tribulation Beach and the Daintree Rainforest National Park:
Cape Tribulation is situated approximately 100 kilometres drive from Cairns and is within the Daintree National Park, which is World Heritage listed.
Expert Travel Tip:
Cape Tribulation has lush spa resorts, so stay overnight in luxury. Cape Tribulation is in the heart of the Daintree National Park, when you can enjoy wildlife cruises on the Daintree River, to spot Crocodiles in the wild, and walk on boardwalks amongst lush rainforest as well as along
miles of deserted~ golden sand beaches. They say the Daintree is “where the rainforest meets the reef”. As the only place anywhere where two World Heritage areas are side by side – it is a magical location! It is very assessable for those who are not mobile, and makes for a great family destination.
Kuranda Skyrail Rainforest Cableway:
Completed in the 1990’s, the Skyrail spans almost 8 kilometres over the Barron Gorge National Park, and is acclaimed as being a one of a kind activity, even for those travellers who are afraid of heights.
Expert Travel Tip:
When going on the Kuranda scenic Railway and the Skyrail Cablecar I also advise visiting the Tjapukai Aboriginal theme Park, because here you will learn how to throw a woomera , play the music sticks and enjoy Aboriginal dancing, which is lots of fun for all the family, as well as learning about Aboriginal traditions. Also make time to visit the markets.
Lizard Island:
Situated about 250 kilometres from Cairns, Lizard Island is one of the many islands located in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
Expert Travel Tip: I strongly recommend Mike Ball Dive Expedition’s 3 night fly / dive expedition which starts with a stunning light aircraft flight along the barrier reef, landing at Lizard Island to meet up with the luxury vessel that pristine reefs anywhere}. I had done {lots of diving trips~worked on the Great Barrier Reef for a number of years} before I went on this expedition, and I was impressed by the marine life that I had never seen before like the beautiful butterfly cod fish and the ghost pipe fish. And if you think you can’t dive then you are wrong, an resort dive is perfect, as long as you don’t have medical complaints such as heart defects, or asthma, and it is an enjoyable way to see the reef for everyone.
The Outback and Ayers Rock:
Some of the sights that you will encounter when visiting Uluru in the Northern Territory are spectacularly varied landscapes and amazing rock formations that are incredible, red earth {that blazes brighter than fire embers}, and aboriginal art and culture that makes you understand what it truly means to be an Aussie.
.
Undara:
Located approximately four hours from Cairns, Undara is a geological phenomenon that is situated in the rich red soil of outback Queensland. Surrounded by Australian desert, Undara, which was created by long extinct voilcanoes, gives visitors a taste of Mother Nature’s destructive capability.
Expert Travel Tip: Due to the distance that you have to travel to reach Undara from Cairns, a three day, two night travel package is the best way to savor this area. I highly recommend the guided 2 hour lava tube tour and the sunset wildlife tour, however there are also more thorough tours possible for people that want to experience more of the area.

Even if you’re holidaying with the whole family it’s nice to know you can relinquish a bit of responsibility for the kids from time to time. And choosing a hotel that turns a nice family holiday into a fantastic family holiday isn’t all that difficult if you know what to look for.
A family friendly hotel will always offer a cheery welcome to your kids – even if you’ve been on the road for ten hours and your little ones are tired, hot and grumpy when you arrive.
Providing little extras such as colouring sets and activity packs, many hotels go the extra distance in ensuring your children settle in straight away. And your children will soon get to know the staff members who actively go out of their way to make sure they’re having a great time.
Look for a hotel with clubs, games rooms and fun sports activitys as these are always popular with younger guests. With designated times for activities and games, if you’re not careful you could end up planning your holiday around your little one’s social life. But at least you’ll have some time to yourselves – and the luxury of a relaxing grown up drink or two in the bar. If the hotel you choose has a variety of facilities to keep the children amused, it does show a commitment to their happiness and enjoyment – which can only be a relief for everyone.
If you’re visiting a hotel with a baby or toddler, if they provide a formal babysitting service it might just turn out to be the highlight of your whole stay. You’ll be able to dress up and enjoy a dinner in the restaurant knowing your child is in safe hands.
For those with older offspring, a hotel Spa, swimming pool or tennis courts can all alleviate teenage angst and parental stress. But be sure to check the terms surrounding the use of these facilities to avoid disappointment for you or your family.
See if it’s possible to investigate the children’s menu befrore you book – this’ll tell you a thing or two about how well the hotel understands kids. Whilst we all want our children to eat healthily, there comes a time when we’re just happy for them to eat – and none more so when we’re paying for it in a hotel! So just because it’s labelled “children’s menu”, this doesn’t mean the food just be bland and uninspiring. Meal-time should be a pleasure rather than a pain – especially when you’re on holiday. A child friendly hotel will go the extra mile in ensuring its kid’s meals are creative, tasty and nutritious.
Most people will have to set a fairly strict budget when choosing their hotel. If a hotel genuinely welcomes children, they should offer good deals to tempt you to take your family along. If you can get free or discounted accommodation and meals for your little ones to boot, it’s safe to say the hotel actively encourages you to bring the whole family for an enjoyable time together.

Each year going on holiday seem to get harder and harder. Between natural disasters, terror threats and strikes, the stress of just getting on a plane can warrant a holiday in itself. If you find yourself fortunate enough to have the one week a year we have nice weather off, you could always dig the old tents out!.
One option that not only circumnavigates these obstacles but actually provides a perfectly enjoyable holiday is a cruise. Cruises are no longer help exclusively for the wealthy or the elderly as they’re now easily accessible to all. Whether you’re after the luxury of Silversea cruises or the opulence of the Oceania cruises or simply a few days peace and quiet, a cruise could be just what you’re after
If you’ve decided to take the plunge and you’re about to book your first cruise here’s a few things to think about first. Trying to plan a cruise on a budget is perfectly feasible so long as it’s a reasonable budget. You can cut costs by sourcing and booking everything yourself but if you can afford it book through a cruise travel specialist. You’ll be able to source expert advice off them too as to which cruise operator will best suit your idea of a holiday. They’re also likely to be able to offer you some last minute discount five star cruises too. Don’t take what they say as gospel, always double check their suggestions online to make sure you’re both on the same page.. You can also use the internet to check what other people have to say about where you’re planning on going and who you’re planning on going with. In an attempt to save money you’ll probably be asked to print your own tickets and paperwork yourself, unless your travel agent will do this for you. It’s advisable not to leave this till the day you leave as this will be the day you run out of ink and the shop is out of stock. Another advantage of booking through the cruise liner or travel agent is that if you’re flying to your port and there are any complications, you’ll have their support. If the plane is delayed the liner will probably wait for you or help get you to the next port if a good proportion of their passenger list is also on the plane with you.
A well planned cruise can offer the holiday of a lifetime with experiences you’ll never forget. Unless you’re docked you’re going to be stuck with the other people around you. Always try to extend the common courtesy you’d like to receive in return and make sure you have a great holiday.

This summer many people are looking forward to going on luxury cruises. A lot of people are going for a cruise to Caribbean, South America and Caribbean. In UK the weather has been pretty good this year and it surely looks like we will be having a great summer. Even if UK does have a nice summer, people are still looking for a vacation to a warm place. It’s like a habit now because of poor summer for last many years.
The recent research from the cruise lines shows that, there are more volume of people going for a Caribbean cruise than any other cruise. Few cruise lines did some research not so long ago like Silversea Cruises, Cunard Cruises, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean Cruises and Fred Olsen Cruises shows the favourite destination for many people is the Caribbean. And then it has been Mediterranean.
The cruise lines mentioned above have wonderful cruises. They have friendly staffs who provide great service. The whole cruising trip in these cruise lines would be a trip to remember. There are several bars and mini shopping centres in this cruises where you can spend time doing retail therapy or just drinking. You will be able to see a fantastic scenery of sunset and sunrise.
Islands in the Caribbean are famous for luxurious resorts and beaches along with the rum. Hence why people choose to go to the Caribbean islands for a luxurious break. The warm weather under a beautiful sun, beside the sea on the beach sipping on the finest Caribbean rum just makes me feel like going there now. Shame I have to work otherwise I would be there, may be soon. I went to one of the Caribbean island St.Vincent few years ago for my best friend’s wedding. St.Vincent is where the movie Pirates of the Caribbean was made. It was just fabulous being there, I do did not want to come back.

You’re looking forward to your well deserved holiday with the family – and chances are you’re not looking forward to packing for it. But with a little thought and planning you can turn packing for your holiday into an effortless task – by eliminating the need to pack everything but the kitchen sink.
It’s sensible to take low maintenance clothes. Garments that are easily creased – or that you very rarely wear – should really stay in your wardrobe at home. You could always pack something a little dressier to make you feel special if you’re going to be visiting the hotel restaurant or eating out in the evening. But it’s wise to leave those six inch heels at home. There’s a time and a place – and a family holiday with the kids probably isn’t either.
If you’re visiting a seaside resort, remember swim suits and arm bands, beach towels and sun cream. And even if you’re expecting a heat wave, it’s a good idea to pack lightweight coats – after all, the good old British weather does occasionally catch us all out!
For all that sightseeing you might be planning; you’ll all need a pair of comfy shoes. And if you’re anticipating lots of walking – maybe a box of plasters just in case. And talking of medical supplies, it’s handy to pop in some medicine for the children. If they wake up in the middle of the night with a fever, at least you’ll be able to give them some comfort without pacing the corridors or donning your coat and trawling the streets for a 24 hour chemist.
Most hotels provide some complimentary toiletries these days, but if you’d like to take your own, consider buying small travel size bottles for your holiday as they take up less room. And when you’ve used up the contents, you can simply rinse out the bottles and re-fill them with your usual brand when you go on your next trip.
Some children are afraid of the dark – if this is true of your little ones then it’s a good idea to take a nightlight to set up next to their bed. And remember their favourite teddy. That way they’ll be able to sleep soundly – and so will you!
Although a lot of hotels offer colouring books, crayons and other activities that their younger guests can enjoy quietly, they don’t take up much room in your suitcase and could be a godsend when you some time to yourself with no interruptions.
On the subject of your little ones, they can be prone to creating a mess at mealtimes, so if you’ve a small person who has a tendency to dribble, make sure you’ve packed enough extra clothing to allow for spillages.
Finally, if the children are getting under your feet whilst you try to pack – why not get them to help? Send them off to look for items you need. And if the thought of it puts the fear of God in you, don’t worry – if anything gets forgotten you can at least blame someone else!

Gone are the days when staying inside a hotel was the norm on St. Pete Beach and nearby Treasure Island. As hotels began racking up their prices, particularly around holidays like Memorial Day Weekend and the Fourth of July, increasingly more families looked elsewhere for accommodations.
Bored of a routine office life? Sick in the concrete city jungles? If your answer to any of these questions is affirmative then you will need a holiday inside the serene and soothing beauty of Topsail Island. This lesser recognized and untouched beauty is really a 26-mile barrier island situated off the coast of North Carolina. Best of all you could have the alternative to make by far the most out of the holiday spending budget by opting for one particular of Topsail beach front rentals as opposed to staying in a hotel.
If you’re vacationing with your household or you have a pet then at times high hotel costs may perhaps leave a dent in your pocket. Choosing a Topsail holiday rental on the other hand can not only aid you get one of the most bang for your buck but also give you a getaway encounter to remember.
They discovered a far more cost-effective and flexible solution with St. Pete Beach vacation condos. Now families could afford to stay not just for the weekend, but for an entire week. They could also take pleasure in exactly the same comforts and amenities at home, including having a fully-furnished, full-sized kitchen and onsite laundry – no much more pricey restaurants for every single meal and no should find a coin laundry or dry cleaner from the area.
Another factor that has attracted persons to vacation condo rentals is the capacity to travel in a very group. If two couples who are friends wanted to getaway for the few days, remaining inside of a one-bedroom hotel room wouldn’t be ideal. Staying in the two-bedroom holiday penthouse condo would offer additional than adequate space and privacy. The same goes for the household wanting to get away using the kids. The adults can have 1 room even though the children have another.
In fact, while using Treasure Island Rentals, just like Voyager Beach Club you’ll be closer towards the greatest restaurants and attractions, such as Middle Grounds Grill, Gators Café and Saloon, and Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. over at John’s Pass.

There’s one thing for sure – kids aren’t daft. They love visiting a quality 4 star hotel as much as their mums and dads – and probably for many similar reasons.
They love the attention lavished on them from the hotel staff and the fact that they think they’re being treated with more respect than mum and dad could ever give them! And whilst there’s every chance they’re waited on hand and foot at home, it’s a real eye opener to visit a luxury hotel and see how it really should be done.
Many hotels provide little gifts to make their younger guests feel extra special. These can range from bags of sweets on the pillow, to cookies at bedtime or activity sets with competitions and prizes on offer. They’re a sure way of keeping them happy and making sure your children remember their hotel stay for a long time to come.
During your holiday your little ones will no doubt beg you – repeatedly and maybe very loudly – to go to the swimming pool with them. And then no doubt they’ll be asking to visit the Spa – and the tennis courts. Some hotels even have designated swim times for children.
This generally seems to be an acceptable arrangement for parents and children alike! With not enough hours in the day to do everything that’s on offer, they’ll go to bed tired and happy; knowing that tomorrow promises an equal amount of fun and games. What you’ve got to ask yourself is – will you be able to stand the pace?
If you choose a hotel that specifically caters for kids, there will probably be activities and opportunities for all sorts of entertainment. There may be a children’s gym, crèche, activity club or designated games room. They’ll be able to make new friends and get together with other children the same age to socialise and play sports. In fact, you might see so little of them that you forget you’ve brought them along with you in the first place!
And you shouldn’t ever skip breakfast in the morning. There’s nothing more certain to get your little ones (and you) out of bed with a spring in their (and your) step than the promise of endless fruit juice and the smell of bacon, egg and all the trimmings. And they’ll no doubt quickly notice how relaxed mum and dad are – with no cooking or washing up to do.
Of course there’s also the guest room. At the end of a busy day the kids can relax in style on fresh new sheets and a luxury bed, remote control in hand. And they’re totally safe in the knowledge that mum and dad are having a civilised drink in the bar downstairs and have absolutely no idea what they’re watching upstairs. But as long as they remember to tuck teddy in at bedtime, everyone’ll be happy. For there’s nothing quite like a great quality 4 star hotel break to bring a smile to everyone’s face.
